Our Projects;

1. OPEN THE PAGES. Its library project we're dedicated to improving children's literacy by donating libraries to rural villages schools, orphanages and community. ACTIVITIES; Schools visiting. Fundraising. Event planning etc.  

2. COLOUR THE WORLD. Allow volunteers to aid in conservation efforts and assist in efforts to support biodiversity and preserve natural resources. Environmental conservation is a great fit for participants who are passionate about protecting the natural world. Volunteers who are curious about biodiversity and sustainable practices find these projects both educational and inspiring. Participants at all levels of experience can contribute valuable help to a project, but the most important qualification is that volunteers are willing to get their hands dirty and spend time outdoors and indoor. 
ACTIVITIES; Provision of environmental education to the community (schools, workshops etc.).Use of the plastic materials such as plastic bags, bottles, tires as decoration. Recycling activities. Events planning.  

3. EDUCATION TO EDUCATION PROJECT. Its teaching project in a public schools both primary and Secondary schools and nursery school around Moshi District in Kilimanjaro region. Both volunteer and children they learn from each other.

4. SRHR & HYGIENE PROJECT. SRHR stand for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.  In many places, sexuality is still taboo and sexual education is difficult, due to the commonly held belief cause that girls and boys under 18 to be seems there too young to know about SRHR. One of the activities in this project is to activate community members and organizing concrete activities, such as sexual education and education on family planning, but also about sexual violence and other SRHR issues. Also project target about hygiene cause proper hygiene is one of the simplest and most effective methods of disease prevention.

5. UCHUMI GROUPS. Target women and young people to improve their income through providing entrepreneurship skills to them.

6. NURSERY SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT. Its new project as organization we targeted to have our nursery school in Uru-Mashariki ward in rural area where children they can’t access pre-school education.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Do I need a Visa or Work Permit? Yes. A Visa can be obtained upon arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), Julius Nyerere International Airport or any airport in Tanzania (Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) recommended because it’s in Kilimanjaro region where our organization operates.

All volunteers are required to apply for class "C" resident permit or "Other business (B3)" in Tanzania after your arrival in Tanzania. You can enter Tanzania with a tourist visa and apply for the volunteer permit. The volunteer/work permit costs $200 (single entry 90 days) its not applicable for East African citizens. Our volunteer coordinator will help you during the application process.

Which airport should I use?     The nearest airport is Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). We can only do airport pickup and drop-off from JRO.  If you plan to fly to Nairobi or Dar E Salaam you will have to take a bus to Moshi.  It is very important that you communicate this information with us so that we can accommodate and advice you accordingly. 

What happens when I arrive at the airport?    Once your plane lands you will stand in line for a Visa and then go through security. Our representative will be waiting for you at arrivals with a sign that has your name on it or our organization logo.  The representative will take you to our volunteer’s hostel. 

Which vaccinations should I get?  Yellow Fever vaccination is legally required to enter the country.  Malaria pills are highly recommended.  Polio, Hep A, Hep B, Diphtheria/Tetanus, Typhoid, Tuberculosis and Cholera vaccinations are a good idea.  Discuss with your local travel clinic for the most up to date list of required vaccinations. 

How much money will I need? Can I use a credit card? Credit cards can be used in most major towns, you always have the opportunity to get cash out safe by visa card, master card, western Union, money gram etc.
Spending money will vary depending on the extra excursions and safaris/tour a volunteer would like to be involved in. 
Food; one meal can cost 1.5$ one bottle of Coca-Cola it can be less than 1$ it depend on the restaurant you will go. Mostly of time we use to cook at the house all together and test different traditional meals from different volunteers from different countries.
Accommodation; costs 160$ per month (include electricity charges, water charges,gas cooker, mattress bed sheets).

Can I be able to do Safaris, Mt climb or day/weekend trips? Yes! for safaris and Mt. climbing we have our tour company partner who usual take our volunteers who need to do safaris such Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Manyara , Mt.Kilimanjaro, Mt. Meru etc with reasonable price as volunteer. For day trips mostly it can be done/organized by one of our team member of the organization. Example of the day trips can be visiting Materuni waterfall, lake Chala, Chemka /kikuletwa hotspring, Marangu Caves, Masaai village or a day trip at Mt.Kilimanjaro.

What is the national currency in Tanzania?  National Currency is the Tanzanian Shilling (TZS). While U.S. dollars are accepted in Tanzania, local currency is often preferable. Volunteers may either exchange money through available bureau de change or use the ATM which it available mostly of the places around town it about 10 -20 minutes from volunteer hostel to town. 1$ is approximate to 2,500 Tanzanian Shillings.

Do I need to know the host country language? You do not need to know the local language to volunteer. Our team and most of the young people speak English. You will probably pick up some of the local Swahili words during your trip – children love to teach volunteers new words! 
Example, Mambo- Hi. Poa- Good ,Ahsante- Thanks you,  Hakuna Matata- No worries,  Maji- water, Moja- One, Shikamoo- I respect you (used for older people for greetings).

What is the weather like in Tanzania? Moshi is located in the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Temperature ranges from 16°C to 36°C depending on the current season. 

Will I be able to contact home? Yes! you will be able to contact home, On your arrival we recommend to buy a local sim card ( GSM SIM card) that you can use to make calls and connect to 3G or 4G cellular network.

What happens in case of a medical emergency? Our team will ensure that you receive immediate medical assistance. In the event of a serious illness or accident, each volunteer will be covered by their insurance policy, which is why we require all volunteers to have adequate insurance which includes repatriation. 

Is there any risk of yellow fever or malaria? We advise volunteers to take all precautions necessary to ensure they don’t get sick. This includes frequent hand washing, applying mosquito-repellent, and being careful about what you eat and drink. We recommend that volunteers travel with: Pain killers – Paracetamol /Ibuprofen (also known as Tylenol/Advil) Tummy tablets (such as: anti-diarrhea, anti-nausea).
